Aggy Kouzos
Director

Aggy Kouzos began his IT career in 1986 as a junior COBOL programmer on payroll systems for Sealink Ferries. After a period in IT consultancy for SMEs, he moved into support leadership at Sedgwick a Lloyds brokerage, managing helpdesk and field engineering teams serving hundreds of brokers in the City of London.

At BP Shipping, he led global IT support for a fleet of 33 oil tankers, managing onboard networks and setting the strategic direction for fleet IT worldwide. In 1994 he moved into media and advertising as IT Manager at Charles Barker. Through successive mergers and acquisitions he rose to IT Director EMEA at BSMG and then Weber Shandwick (part of IPG) in 1996, building regional teams across Europe’s major cities and centralising infrastructure and support.

In 2002 he joined IPG’s GIS Corp IT group as IT Director, End User Services EMEA. There he was responsible for service delivery to 17,000 users and contributed to global rollouts and a centralised IT model.
In 2007 he co-founded an IT consultancy start-up serving leading advertising agencies, which he closed in 2010 mainly due to the financial crisis.

He then re joined the IPG group and spent 16 years with IPG as UK and EMEA IT Director for Lowe and Partners (now MullenLowe Group), overseeing 22 offices and 20 IT managers. The agencies he supported ranged from small, SME-sized businesses to large corporate operations. He led regional and global programmes spanning restructures, acquisitions, divestitures and centralised IT structure development.

Today, Aggy is co-founder of The Firm UK, a boutique IT strategy, cybersecurity and compliance consultancy. Alongside that he is building a portfolio career as a Fractional CIO, board advisor and Non-Executive Director, and he holds the Certified NED qualification (ILM Level 6).
With four decades in technology leadership, he brings deep expertise in strategy, M&A integration, due diligence, governance, programme delivery and multimillion-dollar budget management, with a growing specialism in AI governance. He has worked closely with senior executives including owners and founders across the UK and EMEA, attended UK and EMEA boards, and served on several executive committees.
